Smith, a 5-foot-8 junior guard, finished the season averaging 10 points, 4.3 assists, 4.2 steals and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Spartans, who closed at 22-6.
What’s been your most glorious athletic moment?
Hitting my first home run in softball.
What’s been the most embarrassing?
Tripping over my own feet at practice.
What was this season been like for the team?
It was a great season. We came a long way.
How was your junior season?
I’ve come a long way since my freshman year, thanks to my coaches and teammates.
What part of your game do you need to work on the most?
Shooting.
What is your favorite pig-out food?
Orange chicken.
Who is your favorite athlete?
Professional women’s basketball player and Naperville Central graduate Candace Parker.
What’s on your iPod?
Nicki Minaj, Rascal Flatts, Wiz Khalifa … I have a lot of different kinds of music.
What is your favorite movie and why?
“Love and Basketball.” I love everything about basketball.
