Cresta, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound pitcher, is 6-0 and one of the top power hitters for the No. 1 Tigers (23-3).
What’s been your most glorious athletic moment?
Going 21-0 and winning the Southwest Prairie Conference last year.
What’s been the most embarrassing?
Sophomore year, I accidentally threw my bat across the field on a warm up swing. I tried to play it off like nothing happened. Everyone saw it.
What’s the secret to the Tigers’ success?
Our pitching staff and just overall good team chemistry.
What do you like better, pitching or hitting?
Pitching, because I feel like I am in control of the game.
What’s a key for the Tigers the rest of the season?
Keep pitching and playing defense well, but we need better timely hitting.
What’s your goal during the 2012 season?
Winning conference and winning the state championship.
What is your favorite pig-out food?
Who are your favorite athletes?
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay and Milwaukee Bucks center Kwame Brown.
