Police Blotter: One dead in I-55 crash

CHANNAHON — State police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a yet-unidentified man.
Sometime before Sunday morning the man apparently crashed the vehicle he was driving south on Interstate 55 near the Des Plaines River bridge.
Police said the man was heading south on I-55 when he veered off the road, hit a guardrail, traveled back into the center median and rolled, ending up underneath I-55 in the big basin area.
He was discovered by a worker at big basin Sunday morning, and pronounced dead by the Will County Coroner’s Office at 8 a.m. Sunday.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The man’s identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Anthony J. Trubich, 25, of 3369 D Hutchison in Joliet, was arrested by Plainfield police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Danzel J. Mitchell, 21, of 112 Madonna in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Whitney A. Little, 21, of 125 Davidson in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
