The Bristol-Kendall Fire Department and Kendall County Sheriff’s police responded to a large brush and mulch fire at 10009 Legion Road in Yorkville, Friday night about 10:40 p.m. According to a deputy on the scene, a large bon fire started in the backyard of the home, that is also the headquarters of K.S. Design Group, Inc., got out of control and spread to nearby mulch piles.
Nearby residents reported flames rising over 40 feet into the air. Firefighters quickly knocked down the large fire with water, and completely extingushed the smoldering embers and burning mulch with foam.
