Sept. 7

Family fun night: 4-7 p.m. Sept. 7, Ellis House, 13986 McKanna Road, Minooka. Pony rides cost $3 per ride, or pay $5 for two rides. There will also be a tractor-pulled hay ride, a movie, a bonfire, face painting, hiking on nature trails, visits with bunnies and chickens, a craft and live music. Concessions will also be available for sale.

2012 animal care raffle: Tickets cost $1, or you can buy six for $5, for the drawing scheduled for Oct. 27. The grand-prize winner will receive an iPad 2. The second-prize winner will receive a Kindle Fire. Ten third-prize winners will receive $50 each. The winners do not need to be present to win. To buy tickets, call Lori at 708-769-2749.
