Joliet Cinemark to screen classic movies

Cinemark Holdings Inc., which has theaters in Joliet, announced that the Fall Classics Series, featuring six legendary Hollywood movies, will take place in more than 150 Cinemark theaters across the country.
All of these digitally restored movies will be scheduled to play each Thursday during the months of August and September at two separate show times, 2 and 7 p.m.
“Cinemark’s Classic Film Series has proven to be a fan favorite for movie lovers of all ages,” said James Meredith, vice president of marketing and communications for Cinemark.
Cinemark has selected six titles that were visionary films at their time of release and still stand as true “classics.”
The list includes:
Aug. 23: “Jaws”
Aug. 30: “High Noon”
Sept. 6: “Doctor Zhivago”
Sept. 13: “Chinatown”
Sept. 20: “The Bridge on the River Kwai”
Sept. 27: “The African Queen”
