NEW LENOX TOWNSHIP — A Manhattan man was killed in a three-car collision Wednesday night.
Around 10:15 p.m. a black 1978 Chevrolet Camaro, was stopped on southbound Cedar Road at the stop sign on Delaney Road while a red 2013 Chevrolet Malibu was proceeding through the intersection.
A black 2012 Chevy Malibu rear-ended the Camaro, causing it to spin into the intersection where it was struck by the red Malibu, Will County Sheriff’s police said.
The driver of the Camaro, Bryan L. Bulger, 26, was airlifted from the scene to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where he was pronounced dead. Bulger’s passenger, a 24-year-old Manhattan woman, was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox for observation.
The driver of the red Malibu, a 59-year-old Frankfort man, was not injured.
The driver of the Malibu that reportedly rear-ended the Camaro, Jason R. Rymut, 31, also refused medical treatment. Rymut, of 24956 Claire Circle in Manhattan, was ticketed for failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
