Joliet man dies in shooting

JOLIET — A Joliet man died after a shooting in the 300 block of Wilson Avenue, authorities said Friday.
Kyle Watt, 23, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the shooting at 10:15 p.m. Thursday and was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m. Friday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy was conducted Friday morning, and the death was ruled a homicide, the office said.
Watt was in his car on Wilson Avenue when he was shot, Joliet police said. Witnesses reported seeing a man leave the scene on foot.
It appears that Watt was targeted, Detective Sgt. Scott Nicodemus said.
