Police Blotter: Man charged after chase

JOLIET — An 18-year-old Aurora man reportedly led police on a chase in a stolen car Tuesday.
Justin R. Conley, of 321 Pine Ave. was seen breaking into vehicles around 3:20 a.m. in the 1400 block of William Street, according to Cmdr. Rich Demick.
“When Officer Jeff German pulled up, Conley ran to a car parked nearby and sped away,” Demick said. “The 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt had been reported stolen Sunday to Will County police.”
The Cobalt ignored seven stop signs en route to the 1100 block of Loral Avenue when the driver struck a tree at the dead end.
“He jumped out and started running but was caught a few yards away,” Demick said.
Officers reportedly found gloves, vice grips and jewelry inside the stolen vehicle.
Conley was booked into the county jail on charges of motor vehicle theft, possession of burglary tools, cannabis possession, reckless driving, resisting arrest and aggravated fleeing from police.
Police seek information in crash
WILL COUNTY — The Sheriff’s Traffic Division is asking for the public’s assistance regarding a traffic crash that occurred around 10:45 p.m. Aug. 24.
The crash occurred on Briggs Street, south of Oak Avenue in Lockport Township. Police are looking to locate the driver of a vehicle involved in the crash who left the scene.

Quentin Hanson: 20, of 1151 Manor Court in Crest Hill, was arrested by Crest Hill police and booked into the county jail on a charge of theft.
Brian J. Klir: 30, of 11620 Blackhawk in Mokena, was arrested by Frankfort police and booked into the county jail Monday on a charge of burglary.
Xavier C. Arenas: 17, of 205 Belmont Drive in Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police and booked into the county jail Monday on charges of aggravated battery and driving on a suspended license.
Rudolfo E. Novak: 18, of 414 Kenyon Ave. in Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police and booked into the county jail Monday on a charge of aggravated battery.
Justin R. Davila: 23, and Jason J. Davila, 21, both of 565 Elwood Ave. in Joliet and Nieko Hadley, 20, of 811 Gage St. in Joliet, were arrested by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms and booked into the county jail Monday on charges of unlawful use of a weapon.
