Poll: Immigration detention center in Joliet?

Although an idea for a federal immigration detention center was recently turned down in Crete, Joliet may not be ready to decide either way on a center in the city. One immigrant rights group is mounting opposition to the idea and City Manager Thomas Thanas acknowledged Thursday there is an “exploratory project” to put a detention center for immigrants facing deportation in Joliet. Do you think Joliet should pursue a federal immigration detention center?
