Man wanted on sex charges in Joliet arrested in Kentucky

JOLIET — A man accused of pimping a teenage girl he also was photographed having sex with is back in jail after fleeing the state.
Jach L. Hayes, 23, was arrested on burglary charges Oct. 17 in Paducah, Ky.
On Nov. 30, 2011, police were tipped off to prostitutes working out of Motel 6, 1850 McDonough St., and sent tactical officers undercover.
Hayes, a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were found “squatting” in two second-floor rooms they had not paid for and offering sex for money, Cmdr. Brian Benton said.
As Hayes, and the females were taken into custody, police learned the juvenile had pictures on her iPod that showed her naked, reports said.
Hayes, who has also used Joche Hayes as an alias, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, while the 16-year-old was charged with possession of child pornography for having pictures of herself.
Those felonies were dropped the next day and Hayes paid $3,000 bail on the trespassing charge and reportedly skipped town.
But the investigation continued and Hayes was indicted again for aggravated criminal sexual abuse in February.
Hayes apparently avoided law enforcement until 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 when Paducah police were called to a loud party at some apartments.
Officer Corey Willenborg said Hayes gave him “two different names and three different Social Security numbers” while another officer listening on the radio recognized one of those aliases.
The officer told Willenborg about a residential burglary that had occurred the day before and Willenborg saw items that had been taken in that incident on the couch just inside the door, reports said.
Once arrested, Hayes reportedly told police who he was and they found the sexual assault warrant.
With Hayes was a 17-year-old girl, who was also taken into custody for failing to appear in court in a Joliet case. Paducah police were unable to verify if this girl was the same one who was arrested with him last year.
