Poll: Election spending

If it seemed to you like you just couldn’t get away from election-related advertisements, TV commericals and radio spots, not to mention Internet-based ads, you were probably right. Published estimates indicate that almost $6 billion was spent to promote candidates in the general election. Is too much money spent on elections?
