Christmas on State Street Saturday in Manhattan

Christmas on State Street, sponsored by the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday in Manhattan.
Among the events planned are:
Gingerbread House Contest: drop-off 2 to 2:45 p.m., judging 3 to 4 p.m. at the Park District Program Center.
Chili Cook-off: drop-off 2 to 2:45 p.m., judging at 3 p.m. at program center.
Live Reindeer: 3 to 5 p.m. on Gustafson Street by program center.
Christmas Light Parade: 5:30 p.m., starts at Second and State streets and continues north to Time Square.
Christmas on State St. Scavenger Hunt: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., visit chamber website for more information at www.manhattan-il.com
Manhattan-Elwood Library: 1 to 2:30 p.m. craft session for children to make ornaments.
Kid Country Christmas Program: 3 p.m. at Anna McDonald School, free and open to public.
Chili Dinner: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church; adults $7, senior/kids
6-12, $5, 5 and under $3.
