Updated: April 2, 2013 6:04AM

New Lenox School District recently announced several promotions.

Mandy Novotny was promoted to the assistant pupil personnel services director. The district will be leaving the special education cooperative, bringing the services in-house.

Novotny will help Director Liza Bruni and Assistant Director Dana Bergthold with the transition, Assistant Superintendent Peggy Manville said.

There will be two new assistant principals. The first, Patsy Donahue, will be stationed between Oakview and Nelson Ridge. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree from Olivette. She also spent a year in the Peace Corps.

Donahue teaches fifth grade at Oster Oakview.

The second new assistant principal is Jason Sterritt. He is a teacher at Spencer Crossing. He will be promoted to oversee both Spencer Crossing and Bently. He has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and a master’s degree from Governor’s State University.

He had taught sixth grade in Normal for two years before joining Spencer. In New Lenox, Sterritt taught sixth grade for the past seven years.
