Bad Company, Foreigner and Rick Springfield will be the headliners at the New Lenox Triple Play Concert Series this summer.
Mayor Tim Baldermann announced Bad Company will perform June 29, Springfield on July 20 and Foreigner on Aug. 31.
Tickets will go on sale April 1 at village hall for New Lenox residents only. The cost is $50 for all three concerts. Only 5,000 tickets will be sold. If any tickets remain as of May 10, sales will open to nonresidents for $60 for the trio.
Although there is a chance unsold tickets may be available at the gate, it is not likely.
“With Bad Company and Foreigner playing, I anticipate selling this out pretty quickly,” the mayor said.
Bad Company hasn’t played in the area since 2001. The group will include leader Paul Rogers, who was the lead singer/songwriter for the band Free.
Concerts are held in the New Lenox Commons and have two opening acts each. The headlining bands approve the opening performers. Any profits generated by the concerts pay for other free events throughout the year, such as Wednesday night movies in the summer and Christmas in the Commons.
