JOLIET — An alleged marijuana dealer failed to realize why his customer might be familiar with a doughnut shop.
Kenneth R. Donners, 26, brought a quarter-pound of high-grade marijuana to undercover police officers Friday morning in the parking lot of Dunkin’ Donuts, 422 Chicago St., police said
Wayne Ladd, director of the Cooperative Police Assistance Team, said its officers had purchased more than 230 grams of what Donners called “medical-quality” marijuana during earlier deals with him.
Police said Donners arrived at the shop about 8 a.m. and handed over the quarter-pound of weed in exchange for $1,300 before police moved in.
Donners, of 955 Royce Ave., Joliet, was charged with five counts of selling marijuana.
