LOCKPORT — The Lockport Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Community Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb, 18 at the Lockport Township High School East Campus.

The event will feature food from local restaurants, door prizes, information on local businesses, freebies and family activities.

Walmart honors Averitt

Averitt Express, a full-service transportation and logistics provider that serves the Joliet area, has been named Walmart’s Regional LTL Carrier of the Year.

This is the second time in three years that Averitt has been recognized by Walmart, earning the Rising Star Carrier of the Year Award in 2008.

Mobile center schedule

Will County Workforce Services’ Mobile Workforce Center — which helps residents with resumes, cover letters and job applications — will travel daily to five Will County locations in February:

Mondays: Bolingbrook IDES. (No service Feb. 13, Lincoln’s Birthday and Feb. 20, Presidents Day)

Tuesdays: Governors State University (main entrance)

Wednesdays: Plainfield Public Library

Thursdays: Wilmington City Hall

Fridays: Frankfort Township Office
