Tickets on sale for outdoor dining event

Outdoor dining event

JOLIET — Tickets are on sale for “Dinner Under the Stars,” an outdoor dining event planned for July 13 in downtown Joliet. Diners will sit at “the city’s longest dinner table” in the middle of Chicago Street/Route 66 at Cass Avenue. Tickets cost $45. The event is being organized by The Department Restaurant, Thayer’s 158 North and Gji’s Sweet Shoppe. RSVP to cam.barnett@jolietdowntown.com.

Apparel needed

Health week events

JOLIET — Curves gyms will hold week-long open houses during National Women’s Health Week, May 13-19. Visitors will receive free fitness assessments and non-members who visit will get free 30-day memberships.

Salon expands

LOCKPORT — Jean Marie at 113 E. 9th St. is expanding to a full salon and spa. The business has added facials, massage, microderm abrasion, chemical peels and a yoga studio. Jean Marie also added 1,500 square feet and now has 14 employees.
