NEW LENOX — Maribel “Mari” Valle is a new member of the Silver Cross Healthy Community Commission. Valle has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in public health, maternal and child health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a doctorate degree in philosophy, community health sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is an assistant professor for the College of Business and Health Administration at the University of St. Francis.
New veterinarian at Animal Care Hospital
MORRIS — Veterinarian Canaan Shores has joined Animal Care Hospital, 1410 Liberty St. Shores has a doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Illinois. He also spent a year in Scotland at the University of Edinburgh’s Royal School of Veterinary Studies. He was practicing at a small animal hospital in St. Louis before coming to Morris.
New Orleans trip for Henry
JOLIET — Runisia Henry, business analyst with the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Joliet Junior College, attended America’s Small Business Development Centers 32nd annual conference in New Orleans. The theme of the conference was SBDC’s: Lighting America’s Future and included a variety of training sessions.
