Phillips Metals opens depot
Phillips Metals Inc. has opened a depot in Plainfield. The company plans to provide warehousing services to partner tube manufacturing mills as well as to offer direct business-to-business sales of carbon steel structural and mechanical tubing. The facility is 10,000 square feet and PMI expects to add a saw cutting capability to assist with special customer orders.
CORFAC firms team up
JOLIET — Two CORFAC firms have teamed up and represented Johnstone Supply Inc. in a 10-year, 236,273-square-foot lease at 3500 Corporate Drive in Joliet. It is the first industrial property in Illinois to be occupied by Johnstone Supply.
Portland, Ore.-based Johnstone Supply is a national wholesaler and distributor in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
Cross presents award
SHOREWOOD — State Rep. Tom Cross, R-Oswego, and his Ovation to Business Advisory Committee presented his Ovation to Business award to Shorewood H.U.G.S. (Helping You Get Started) for the organization’s commitment to community service through fulfilling wishes of needy individuals and families.
Shorewood H.U.G.S. is a not-for-profit that hosts and supports more than 15 local organizations and events throughout Shorewood, Joliet and surrounding communities each year.
