Joliet businesses offer Holiday Hop

JOLIET — Downtown businesses will offer a Holiday Hop tour on Friday. Participants should gather at 5 p.m. at The Department and Liquor Lounge, 205 N. Chicago St., or Judge’s, 35 E. Cass St., for a 6 p.m. tour kickoff.

Each location will have door prizes and drink specials. Tour stops also include Gji’s Sweet Shoppe, Thayer’s 158, Jitters Coffee House, McBrody’s, Red Goose Bakery and Chicago Street Pub. RSVP to cam.bar

Morris Hospital hosting fair

MORRIS — Morris Hospital is hosting a volunteer recruitment fair from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday in the family birthing suites classroom, 150 W. High St.

Adults who are interested in learning more about volunteering at Morris Hospital can meet volunteers in various assignments. Refreshments will be provided. For information, call 815-942-2932, Ext. 7022.

Toy Drive at Verizon stores

Verizon Wireless stores are hosting a “Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive” through Dec. 15. Toys will be donated to the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, a domestic violence prevention organization in Tinley Park. All donations must be new, packaged and unwrapped. Local store donation sites include 224 Weber Road, Bolingbrook; 3330 Mall Loop Drive, Joliet; 2510 E. Lincoln Highway, New Lenox; 12632 South Route 59, Plainfield; and 395 S. Weber Road, Romeoville.
