Joliet chamber offers Super Bowl travel prize

The Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry is selling raffle tickets for a trip for two to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. Tickets cost $10 each or three for $20 and are available through chamber members or at the chamber office, 63 N. Chicago St., Joliet.

The drawing will be held Thursday at the holiday member reception at the Jacob Henry Mansion. Winners do not have to be present. For information, visit www.joliet

‘Holiday Heroes’ toy drive

GreenChoice Bank, 838 S. State St., Lockport, will host a “Holiday Heroes” toy drive that urges kids to donate to other kids.

Unwrapped new or gently used toys can be dropped off through Friday. Children will fill out “Holiday Heroes” deposit slips and they can write essays. Visit www.green

Shorewood spa receives award

State Rep. Tom Cross, R-Oswego, presented his Ovation to Business Award to Massage Envy Spa of Shorewood for its commitment to community service through partnership with the American Arthritis Foundation and contributions to other local charitable and not-for-profit causes.

The business, 1033 Brook Forest Ave., is owned by Mike and Rose Clancy. It employs 32 and has created nearly 50 jobs since opening in the spring of 2011.

Lockport businesses honored

The Lockport Chamber of Commerce recently honored several businesses at its Autumn Dinner Gala. They were 2012 Corporate Business Partner of the Year, McDonald’s, Lockport, owner Susan Stinnett; 2012 Regional Business Partner of the Year, Berkot’s Super Foods, Lockport, owners John Kotara and Luke Kotara; 2012 Local Business of the Year, TheraCORE Physical Therapy; and 2012 Adelmann Improvement Award, Porter Plaza.
