Kirkland’s celebrates grand opening in Joliet

JOLIET — Specialty home decor and gifts retailer Kirkland’s has opened a new store at 2856 Plainfield Road in the Louis Joliet Pointe shopping center.
A grand opening will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 13.
Local interior designer Maria Hildebrand will provide design tips for customers from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Customers are encouraged to bring photos of rooms or floor plans of spaces they are decorating for a free, personalized design consultation.
Kirkland’s also will be giving away two $50 gift cards in celebration of the grand opening and shoppers will receive a free sachet with purchase while supplies last.
The new Joliet location will employ 15 to 18 people and is one of 324 stores throughout the nation. The stores offer an extensive selection of decorative items, gifts and seasonal merchandise.
Silver Cross accreditation
NEW LENOX — Silver Cross Hospital has received a three-year term of accreditation in echocardiography in the areas of adult stress, adult transesophageal and adult transthoracic by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.
Accreditation by the IAC means the hospital has undergone a thorough review of its operational and technical components by a panel of experts.
Rezin earns award
JOLIET — Rezin Orthopedics And Sports Medicine has been selected for the 2012 Best of Joliet Award in the Orthopedic Physician category by the Joliet Award Program.
Each year the Joliet Award Program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category.
