Red Goose looking for hungry souls
The Red Goose Bakery and Cafe, 56 N. Chicago St. in the downtown Joliet area, recently has expanded its hours.
When the cafe first opened in February 2011, it was closed on Sundays. But in August, owners Ray and John Wesley decided to open from 1 to 6 p.m. every Sunday.
“We’re looking for the after-church groups,” Ray Wesley said.
The restaurant’s Sunday soul food offerings may include baked or fried chicken, savory smothered pork chops, roasted turkey and rib tips.
