For those of you who love microwave popcorn, here’s an easy way to save a bit of money and cut out random ingredients you can’t pronounce. That is, make your own microwave popcorn, because it’s quick, simple and cheap. All you have to do is pour 1/4 cup of kernels into a brown paper lunch bag, then tape it closed. Microwave until the popping slows down (usually about two minutes). Open the bag carefully, then season it however you like.
Doing this isn’t going to save you a massive wad of cash at the end of the year, but when you’re a Tightwad, every penny counts.
