Auditor honored
JOLIET — Will County Auditor Duffy Blackburn, a certified public accountant in his first term in office, has been awarded County Auditor of the Year by the Illinois Association of County Auditors.
The award recognizes an Illinois County Auditor for contributions to his or her office and achieving the association’s goals of improving governmental accounting, auditing and financial reporting.
Credit union bonus
JOLIET — NuMark Credit Union members with personal checking accounts received a checking bonus dividend of 7 percent for the month of December.
In recent years, the credit union has given its members $800,000 in loan-interest rebates, opened two new offices in Crest Hill and Tinley Park and introduced business and mortgage services.
NuMark has offices in Joliet, Crest Hill, Countryside and Tinley Park.
New Fairview chief
JOLIET — John Bernadyn has assumed the executive director position at Fairview Care Center of Joliet. He replaced Shalom Lichtman. The change became effective Dec. 26.
Silver Cross appoints directors
JOLIET — John Phelan and Dr. Alexander Sosenko have been appointed to the Silver Cross Hospital Board of Directors.
Phelan of New Lenox is the vice president of operations of information technologies at CommScope, a multinational telecommunications company based in Hickory, N.C.
Sosenko is a certified pulmonary medicine and critical care physician with Midwest Respiratory in Joliet. He currently serves as chief of staff at Silver Cross Hospital.
