No matter how you slice it, Tax Day isn’t any fun. If you owe Uncle Sam, money’s probably a little tighter than usual. And even if you’re getting a refund, you might not be in any better shape because you forked over more money than you should have throughout the year and it’s going to take a while to get that big fat refund.
Well, don’t worry. Mr. T has done his research, and it looks like there are plenty of places where you can get some freebies and discounts to help ease Tax Day pains.
Let’s take a look at some of Tuesday’s best deals:
SONIC DRIVE-IN is turning Happy Hour into happy day, because all drinks and slushies will be half price. So you’ll be able to drown your sorrows behind the wheel — legally — while rushing to get those taxes done at the last minute.
ARBY’S wants you to n’yuk it up with some free curly fries. A coupon is required off their Facebook page, but the chuckleheads aren’t making it available until Friday.
P.F. CHANGS will give you a tax break — 15 percent to be exact — and it doesn’t matter if you’re in the 1 percent or 99 percent. The deal is valid on both dine-in and carryout orders.
BOSTON MARKET wants you to bring a friend, where one of you will get a free meal when the other buys a meal and a fountain drink. You don’t need to fill out any crazy tax forms but do need the printable coupon (get it at http://tinyurl.com/bmfree).
CINNABON knows Tax Day bites, and it’s prepared to bite back ... in the form of two free Cinnabon Bites from 6 to 8 p.m. at participating locations.
PANDA EXPRESS is forking over free servings of its new Shanghai Angus Steak. You’ll need the coupon for this one, which you can get at http://on.fb.me/I3JK7F.
CHILI’S will satisfy that fire in your belly, in the form of a free appetizer or dessert with the purchase of an adult entree. Even better, the printable coupon (get it at http://tinyurl.com/chilitax) is good Sunday, Monday or Tuesday.
