DuPage County Historical Museum: Once Upon a Time, 1 p.m. July 14. Local collector Donna Finegan will review highlights of this exhibit from her rarely seen collection of late-18th to mid-19th century French clothing, accessories and furniture, shown to Sept. 3. DuPage County and the Civil War: A Local Perspective, to Sept. 2012. Other exhibits will take you on a journey through 150 years of history, a walk in the woods, an 1890’s family sitting room and an activity area all about measurement. Elgin Public Museum: Green Scale: Weighing in on the Green Movement, opens at 2 p.m. July 14. Examines the successes, shortcomings, and impact of the green movement on our global village.
