‘Fancypants’ screenings added

Those who weren’t able to score tickets for Sept. 29’s premiere of Humble Pie Films’ “Fancypants” are in luck.

AMC River East 21, 322 E. Illinois St., Chicago, (888) 262-4386, has added screenings at 9 p.m. Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Directed by Joshua Russell, “Fancypants” stars WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper, Patrick Gleason, Robert Carradine, Frank Pensa, of Palos Park, and Jim Marchert, of New Lenox

The movie also features the work of Bob Sliga, of Frankfort; Jason Johnson, of Markham; Terence Sims, of Country Club Hills; and Kelly Carevic, of Orland Park.

Filmed entirely on location in Chicago, “Fancypants” is the story of a professional wrestler who is afraid of conflict in real life.

Rated PG, the movie runs for 1 hour and 26 minutes.

“Fancypants” was screened in April at the Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg, Fla., where it took the top honor of best feature.

The flick also was screened at Seattle’s True Independent Film Festival in June.
