Low-cost pet vaccine clinic: Spay Illinois is hosting a low-cost pet vaccine clinic keep your pet healthy with yearly vaccines and heartworm testing on March 10 at 2011 Essington Road in Joliet. The clinic runs from noon to 4 p.m. and is by appointment. Cash or credit is accepted, but no personal checks will be taken. The clinic is open to everyone; no residency or income restrictions apply. Spay and neuter rebate program: February is National Spay/Neuter Month, and residents of Will and Cook counties can have their pets spayed or neutered for a reduced rate in the month of February only. Male and female dogs can be spayed or neutered for $40, and cats can be spayed or neutered for $25. There is a limit of two pets per household, and you must have a current Will or Cook County rabies certificate and tag or purchase the vaccine and tag the day of surgery to participate in the Rebate Program.
