Mothers and daughters luncheon
JOLIET — The Deaconess Board of Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church, at 212 Richards St., will have its annual Mothers and Daughters Luncheon and Tea from 1-4 p.m. Saturday.
The theme is “A Woman’s Touch.” Evangelist Sandra Jackson of Frankfort will speak.
Tickets are $20 per adult or $10 for kids 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the church 815-722-3505 All proceeds go to The Deaconess Violee Smith Scholarship Fund.
Mount Moriah spring musical
JOLIET — The spring musical will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, at 1503 Arthur Ave.
New Covenant ministry class
JOLIET — New Convenant “Nesting with the Eagles Ministry Class” will present “Fill Us Up and Send Us Out” from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 at the Horticulture Center, at 227 N. Gougar Road.
Breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m. (cost $20 adults and $15 children), and the workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a graduation service at 1 p.m.
Session topics include “Releasing the Minstrel Anointing”; “Developing a Hallow Place for Prayer”; “Marketplace Evangelism”; and “People and Their Mindsets.” The guest speaker is Prophet Derrick Echols.
Joliet Christian Women breakfast
JOLIET — “Life’s Merry-Go-Rounds” breakfast, sponsored by Joliet Christian Women, will be 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at Joliet Country Club, at 1009 Spencer Road.
Women are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation. The speaker will be Karilyn Eastvold of Springfield, a wife and mother of three who will share how she “got off the merry-go-round of worry.”

Jewish HaShoah programs scheduled
JOLIET — Join the Jewish Congregation for a Yom HaShoah program at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Joliet Mayor Thomas Giarante and a speaker from the Skokie Holocaust Museum.
At 10 a.m. April 19, Hufford School will hold its Yom HaShoah program at synagogue, at 250 N. Midland Ave.
