Joliet student wins scholarship

JOLIET — The Save Abandoned Babies Foundation has announced four Illinois high school senior winners of a one-time book scholarship of $500 for their winning submissions.

Among the winners was Jessica Winterstein of Joliet Township High School.

The scholarship awards being presented in April are part of Save Abandoned Babies Month.

Student wins Presidential Scholarship

SHOREWOOD — Cassandra Cronin of Shorewood received a Presidential Scholarship at MacMurray College.

Cronin, a Joliet West High School student, received high honors and plays soccer.

The daughter of Christine Cronin of Shorewood, Cronin plans to major in criminal justice.
