Poster contest entries on display
FRANKFORT — The Frankfort Fall Festival’s annual poster contest calls upon the area’s most promising young artists to interpret the year’s festival theme as a poster, using any medium of their choice.
The 2012 theme — “Carnivale” — drew 50 submissions from students who used everything from oil paints to digitally enhanced photography to render an image of Frankfort’s Labor Day festivities with a Brazilian twist.
Throughout April, the posters will be on display for the public at the Frankfort Public Library.
The first-place winner will receive a $250 prize from the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, and their design will appear in promotions as well as on merchandise for sale at the festival, which will be held from Sept. 1-3.
