Card party: At noon April 11, St. Rose C.C.W. will host a card party in the St. Rose School gym, 626 S. Kankakee St., Wilmington. All card games and bunco will be played. A light lunch will be served. There will be table prizes, door prizes and raffles. Donation is $6.
Fried chicken buffet: 4-8 p.m. Wednesdays at American Legion Post 1080, Ingalls Avenue and Infantry Drive, Joliet. All you can eat. Call 815-729-2254.

Mexican fiesta buffet: 11 a.m. to noon serving, April 12 at Wilco Area Career Center, 500 Wilco Blvd., Romeoville. The menu include minestrone soup, glazed ham, herb pan fried chicken, roast asparagus, spring orzo salad, corn bread and mango peach cobbler. Cost is $7 per person. Spaghetti dinner: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 12, American Cultural Society, 1918 Donmaur Drive, Crest Hill. Cost is $8 for Adults. Carryouts available.

Second hand rose fashion show/luncheon: Doors open at 1 p.m. and the event begins at 1:30 p.m. April 22. Sponsored by St. Mary’s Council of Catholic Women at the Whitetail Ridge Golf Club, 7671 Clubhouse Drive, Yorkville. Fashions are by Still Stylin and Dress the Occasion. Tickets are $20. Purchase tickets before April 1 and you will be entered into a raffle for one Cookies two half-chicken dinners gift certificate. Call June at 815-467-6698 or 815-210-5321. Tickets must be purchased by April 12. No tickets will be sold after this date or at the door.
April 15
Pancake breakfast: 8-11 a.m. April 15, Knights of Columbus, 100 S. Infantry Drive, Joliet. All you can eat. Cost is $7 for adults or $5.99 for kids ages 6-12.
Pancake breakfast: 8 a.m. to noon April 15, Knights of Columbus Council 14283 and volunteers will serve pancakes, sausages and fruit cups in the lower level of St. Francis Xavier Church, 2500 Arbeiter Road, Joliet. Breakfast includes coffee, milk or juice. Donations of $5 per person are suggested at the door. Free for children younger than age 2. The proceeds are used to help support local charitable organizations such as Kendall County and Will County food banks. Eat in or carry out are available. Food donations are gratefully accepted.
Corvette unlimited show and corral/GM parts swap meet: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 15, hosted by Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in Joliet. Featuring some of the rarest and most spectacular Chevrolet Corvettes ever built. There will be eight people’s choice classes with three trophies per class. The Bill Jacobs Jr. Memorial Award will also be given, but Corvettes Unlimited members will not be eligible. Each entrant will receive a dash plaque for their vehicle and two entry passes. There will be custom club designed awards and a $100 cash drawing for spectators. For those who will just be attending the event, admission is $5 or free for children younger than age 12. Food from Jody’s Hot Dogs will be available. Along with the car show, major vendors will also be on site. These will include restoration and performance parts, tools, GM accessories and apparel. There will also be a live DJ performance and an Elvis impersonator from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Rush Neurobehavioral Center and other local charities.
Bingo: From 1-4 p.m. April 15, St. Joseph Parish will host its last monthly afternoon of bingo before the summer picnic season begins. The game will be at St. Joe’s Park, at Theodore Street and Raynor Avenue in Joliet. Refreshments will be available. If you have any questions, call Cherie at the Rectory at 815-727-9378.
