SHOREWOOD — It was soon all over except for the barking at the fourth annual Easter egg hunt sponsored Saturday by HUGS of Shorewood at the Hammel Woods Dog Park.
The time it took to register, line up and get in place took much longer than the actual hunt.
But owners and their canines alike went home happy with treats, prizes and warm and furry memories of an hour well spent in the great outdoors.
Best-dressed, largest and smallest were among prizes awarded. Pups and their families could have their pictures taken with a costumed Easter Bunny or possibly win a raffle prize.
The money raised goes for care and feeding of Rosie, the Will County Forest Preserve District’s bloodhound.
