Rummage sale: On April 21, The Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will hold a rummage sale at Bezold Hall, at the corner of Briggs and Division streets in Lockport. Donations of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, toys and small household items will be accepted between noon and 7 p.m. April 18 and between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 19. Rummage and bake sale: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 19-20 and 8 a.m. to noon April 21 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 500 Lemont St. in Lemont. For more information, call 630-257-5558.

Spring rummage sale: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20 and 9 a.m. to noon April 21, sponsored by the Lutheran Youth Fellowship of Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1910 Black Road in Joliet. Call 815-725-1606.

Saturday

Flea market: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 21, Joliet Moose Lodge, 25 Springfield Ave., Joliet. Free. Lunch available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Joliet Cares: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 21 at the Christian Youth Center, 1110 Manhattan Road, Joliet. A one-day event to provide assistance to the underserved in our community. The event is free and offers medical screenings, prayer and spiritual support, food, clothing, haircuts, family portraits and lunch. Visit www.JolietCares.org

Fashion show/luncheon: Doors open at 1 p.m. with the fashion show beginning at 1:30 p.m. April 21 sponsored by St. Mary’s Council of Catholic Women in Minooka at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club, 7671 Clubhouse Drive in Yorkville. Tickets are $20. Purchase tickets before April 1 and you will be entered into a raffle for a Cookies gift certificate.

Hallelujah pork dinner: 4-7 p.m. April 21, Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road in Coal City. Cost is $10 for people 13 and; $6 for kids ages 6-12; and free for kids 5 and younger. Carryouts available.

Ham and scallop potato dinner: 4-7 p.m. April 21, The Elwood Community Church, 101 N. Chicago St., Elwood. Cost is $8.50 for adults or $4 for children younger than 12.

Sunday

Pancake breakfast: 7 a.m. to noon April 22, Essex Lions Club located at 217 Parls St. in Essex. Serving pancakes, french toast, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, orange juice, milk and coffee. Also we will have a hearing screening bus available, free for anyone interested from 9 a.m. to noon, sponsored by the Lions.
