Celebrating the classics
JOLIET — Senior Services Center of Will County will celebrate 45 classic years from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7 at Harrah’s Casino and Hotel Joliet, 151 N. Joliet St. Tickets cost $25.
From 1:30 to 3 p.m., Jerry Armstrong will bring back all your favorite classic entertainers.

Senior services fundraiser
JOLIET — The annual Bernadine Hudson Leadership Giving Fund kickoff was April 16 at the Senior Services Center of Will County.
The fund raises money to help support the services and programs the Senior Services Center offers to seniors throughout Will County. Last year, it served more than 52,000 seniors, delivered nearly 100,000 hot meals to seniors and raised almost $50,000 for this fund.
The Community Leadership Award was given to Mark and Sharon Dames. The Dames family have been longtime supporters of the center and were helpful when purchasing the building it is in, which used to be the Dames Funeral Home.
More than $10,000 was raised for the fund that evening.
