Youth revival

JOLIET — Christ Temple Church, 212 Richards St., will hold its annual youth revival, themed “Prepare for the Challenge,” Mark 4:4, at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

At 5 p.m. Sunday, it will close out the revival with Annual Youth Day. The speaker is Shedric Clark of Detroit.

Weekend celebration

JOLIET — The Women’s Ministry at St. John’s Church invites other women’s ministries to be its guests in worship services Saturday and Sunday for its Women’s Weekend Celebration.

JOLIET — St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 S. Briggs St., with Pastor Edward Martin Jr., will host Christian Entertainment, Praising God in the Sanctuary, with guest emcee the Rev. James Ford and comedian Felicia Hollis at 6 p.m. Saturday.

A capella concert finale

FRANKFORT — Composer A. Paul Johnson will appear at 2 p.m. Sunday as accompanist for the finale concert of the 2012 Capella Music Series at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 12 W. Sauk Trail.

The vocal music and piano solo program is titled “The Human Touch.”

The program will be free and open to the public with a reception following.

JOLIET — Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 1503 Arthur Ave., will celebrate 58 years of ministry at 4 p.m. Sunday with guest speaker Pastor David Bigsby and The Upper Room Ministries .

Annual spring concert

DOWNERS GROVE— At 3 p.m. Sunday, Village Voices will present its annual spring concert at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carpenter and Grove streets.

There is no charge, but a free-will offering will be taken.

Village Voices singers reside in 11 suburbs, including Crest Hill and Plainfield.

New Bible institute

NEW LENOX — The Bible Institute of the Diocese of Joliet will open two new institute sites this September. One will be at St. Jude’s in New Lenox and will meet on Saturday mornings.

St. Jude’s will host a “Come and See” evening 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesday in Franciscan Hall, 241 W. Second Ave.
