Summer Safety
SHOREWOOD — Join Troy TRIAD from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday as Newsome Home Health Care Agency presents Summer Safety Kick-Off for Seniors at the Troy Township Community Center, 25448 Seil Road.
To be discussed are safety issues including: conquering curbs, transferring in and out of cars, prevention of dehydration and signs and symptoms of dehydration, heat stroke, medications affected by the heat and side effects or complications caused by the heat as well as how to protect your skin from the summer sun.
The program is open to all residents of Troy Township. Admission and parking are free but seating is limited. Call 815-744-1968 to reserve a seat by Tuesday.
