Gallery sets photo exhibit

JOLIET — Open Lens III, the third annual juried fine art photography exhibition held at Gallery 7, 116 N. Chicago St. Suite 102, will be running through July 28.
A reception will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday, where the public can meet the artists and the exhibit’s award winners will be announced. All the exhibited artwork is for sale.
More than 500 images were submitted for consideration to be of the 50 selected for the exhibition.
“Open Lens III has exceeded the previous years’ entries in quantity and quality.”, said Marian Corley of Gallery 7.
Gallery 7 is operated by a group of artists and is beginning its sixth year of bringing exciting art to Joliet and the southwest suburbs.
Gallery 7 is open to the public and charges no admission.
Usual hours for the gallery are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 10 a.m. to noon the first Saturday of each month. See more about the gallery and the artists behind it at www.galleryseven.net.
