Manga, Anime workshop
MORRIS — The Morris Public Library, 604 Liberty St., will host a Manga and Anime Workshop for teens and young adults at 1 p.m. July 10.
The workshop, called “The Artistic Dragon,” will feature presenter Addie Afable, an illustrator and instructor who specializes in character design for anime and manga as well as merchandise art.
The program is free.

Shorewood summer series
SHOREWOOD — A free family activity will be held every Thursday at Towne Center Park Amphitheater, sponsored by Shorewood Parks and Recreation Programs.
All concert times are from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and movies start at dusk.
On July 12, the movie “The Adventures of Tin Tin” will be shown.
On July 19, there will be a concert featuring NoJo.
On July 26, the movie “Happy Feet 2” will be shown.
Trip to see Cubs game
MORRIS — The Grundy County Farm Bureau will host a one-day trip July 14 to Chicago to watch the Cubs take on the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The cost will be $75 per person, which includes ticket, transportation, snacks/drinks on the bus and prizes.
The bus will depart from the Grundy County Farm Bureau office at 9 a.m. The game time has been changed to 12:05 p.m. due to the Fox network’s broadcast schedule.
Space is limited to 45 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
