Family fun night: 4-7 p.m. July 6, Aug. 3 and Sept. 7 at Ellis House, 13986 McKanna Road, Minooka. Pony rides are $3 per ride or $5 for two rides. Other activities include a tractor-pulled hay ride, bonfire, face painting, nature trails, visiting the bunnies and chickens and a craft. Concession are available, and live music is performed quarterly.

Summer horse camps: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 9-12 and 16-19 with advanced camp from July 30-Aug. 2 offered by Mokena Park District at Nova Quarter Horses, 10129 W. 187th St., Mokena. Campers will learn the fundamentals of horseback riding. Camp includes a daily riding lesson and learning to groom, saddle, feed and clean a horse. A horse show will be held on the last day for students to show their new horse skills to family and friends. Students should bring a sack lunch each day. For kids ages 7-18. The fee is $315 per session. Pre-registration required. Non-residents of the Park District will pay an additional fee.
