Sunday
Singles dance: 6:30-9:30 p.m. July 1, Knights of Columbus Hall, 100 S. 129th Infantry Drive, Joliet. Cover is $10 for guests, with free refreshments and a cash bar. The DJ will play music from the 1940s on up. The average age range for attendants is 55 and older, but single people of any age are welcome.
Monday
Picnic: Noon to 9 p.m. July 1, St. Joseph Park, Raynor Avenue and Theodore Street in Joliet. Sponsored by St. Mary Nativity Parish. Festivities begin with a Polka Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the church, followed by a day of sunshine and fun at the park. There will be plenty of food, refreshments, bingo, children’s games and music by Bruce Korosa from noon-4 p.m. and Class VI Band from 5-9 p.m.
Wendy’s classic car cruise in: 5-9 p.m. every Monday night for cars, trucks, tractors and cycles at the Wendy’s restaurant on Route 47, just south of Interstate 80 in Morris. This is a free social event. Cruises, movies and parking lot concerts are some of the events. For information, call Ken at 815-942-2032.

Fried chicken buffet: 4-8 p.m. Wednesdays at American Legion Post 1080, Ingalls Avenue and Infantry Drive, Joliet. All you can eat. Call 815-729-2254.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 5, sponsored by St. Joseph Academy at St. Anthony’s Church, 100 N. Scott St. in downtown Joliet. Cost is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $4 for children. Pre-ordering available by calling 815-723-4567.
Cruise nights: 6-9 p.m. first Thursday of the month, June 7, July 5, Aug. 2, Sept. 6, at American Legion Post 1080, 2625 Ingalls Ave., Joliet. Featuring 50/50 raffle, sandwiches from Pub Grub, music and free admission. Call 815-729-2254.
