Troy holding registration sessions
SHOREWOOD — The Troy School District is conducting school registration.
A child who is a new resident of the district or a returning student who did not yet register for the 2012-13 school year can register for school on the following dates and times:
4-7 p.m. Aug. 2
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 3
Both registration events will be at the William B. Orenic Intermediate School, 5820 W. Theodore St. Parents will be able to complete registration for all of their children at one location on either of the two registration dates.
It is recommended that parents pick up the registration packet from any of Troy’s schools, complete the documents at home, assemble the required supporting documents and then come to student registration with all the required documents.

Park district preschool registration
JOLIET — The Joliet Park District is taking enrollments for Sunshine & Rainbows Early Learning Center as well as Troy Trojans Before and After School Enrichment Program for the 2012-13 school year.
A parent information meeting will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 5.
Also, the park district, in partnership with the Troy School District, will offer a before- and after-school extended-day enrichment program beginning the first full day of school in August.
