Provena Healing Arts Pavilion preview: 9 a.m. to noon July 21, Provena Healing Arts Pavilion, Route 30, near Cooper Road in New Lenox. The event will provide entertainment and fun for all ages as well as the opportunity to tour the new facility and meet with many of the physicians. No registration is required. The healing arts pavilion will house many physician offices, an imaging center, a physician-staffed Immediate Care Center and a Women’s Center that will provide specialists for women ages 40 and older. It also features a spa.

My grief journey: 5-6:30 p.m. six consecutive Tuesdays, July 24 and 31 and Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28 at Heartland Hospice, 20646 Abbey Woods Court North, Suite 201, Frankfort. Grief support groups provide an opportunity for support, a safe place to nurture one another. There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested and can be made by calling Beverly Raatjes, bereavement coordinator, at 815-469-70110 to register. This program will need a minimum of five participants to proceed as planned.
Walk with a doc program: 6:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Meet at the Springfield entrance to Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, 333 N. Madison St., Joliet. Get the day started on the right foot with a 1- to 2-mile walk around the Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center campus. Join cardiologist Dennis Killian for this free health program.

Joint tune-up/arthritis program: 10:15-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for seniors at Challenge Fitness Pool, 2021 S. Lawrence Ave., Lockport. The program is geared toward people suffering from arthritis or who need physical rehab in warm water. Program is included in the Challenge Fitness Premium Membership and free for SilverSneakers.
