Spaghetti dinner: From 5:30-6:30 p.m. Sept. 15, St. Francis Xavier Knights of Columbus Council 14283 and the Ladies Auxiliary will host a spaghetti dinner and Intellectual Disabilities kickoff followed by movie night featuring “How to Train Your Dragon” at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2500 Arbeiter Road, Joliet. The cost for the spaghetti dinner is $7 for adults; $5 for seniors; $4 for kids ages 4-12; and free for kids 3 and younger. Refreshments will be for sale during the movie.

Elvis tribute: With dinner from 6-7 p.m. and showtime from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 15, Nick Miller will present “Elvis: The Legend Lives On” at Larry’s Diner, 24522 W. Lockport Road, Plainfield. Buffet-style dinner is $12.99. For seating, call 815-436-3055.

Grandpa’s attic sale: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 15, United Methodist Church of New Lenox campgrounds during the annual flea market at 339 W. Haven Ave. in New Lenox. Members of church and community have donated various items to be sold at bargain prices, including furniture, appliances, lamps, shelves, paintings, patio furniture and tools.
