Updated: December 1, 2012 6:03AM

Medical, construction and daycare/education teams, sponsored by the Office of Human Dignity — Partnership in Mission of the Diocese of Joliet, will travel April 6 to 20 to Sucre, Bolivia.

The medical mission needs surgeons in all specialties, particularly orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, pediatric, general surgery and plastic surgery. Also needed are four anesthesiologists and/or nurse anesthetists. Nurses and others are needed.

A dental clinic will need staffing by a dentist, dental assistant and a hygienist.

The Catholic Construction Corps will work on various projects aimed at improving living and sanitary conditions in the barrios of Sucre.

The corps is looking for skilled laborers, home handymen and people with willing hands and loving hearts who are interested in performing this work.

There are also openings for service with a daycare/educational project at a local center supporting working families.

To volunteer, contact Bruce Carlson at the partnership by calling 815-834-4017.

An informational meeting will be Nov. 8 at the Pastoral Center, 101 W. Airport Road, Romeoville.
