Movie night at Morris library
MORRIS — Movie night will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Morris Library, 604 Liberty St. The movie “Argo,” starring Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman, will be shown.
This movie is rated R for language and some violent images. Therefore, you must be at least 18 to register and attend.

Community grant proposals
CHANNAHON — Proposals for funding are being accepted for the Channahon Three Rivers Festival Community Support Grant program.
Each year, a portion of festival proceeds are set aside for the program. Community organizations, local governments, and not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply for assistance. A maximum of $500 is available for each grant.
Grant proposals are due by Friday.

Morris Citizen’s Police Academy
MORRIS — The Morris Police Department is looking for people interested in participating in the 2013 Morris Police Citizen’s Police Academy starting March 13. Applications will need to be received for processing no later than March 1.
It consists of a series of eight classes.
“The program basically shows citizens what we do and why we do it the way we do,” said Chief Brent Dite.
