“Hallelujah” soup supper: 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 2, Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 E. McArdle Road in Coal City. Serving homemade vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups. They will also be serving ham and turkey sandwiches along with their soups. The cost will be $8 for adults and ages 13 and older; $4 for ages 6-12; $2 for ages 3–5; free age 2 and youngerr. Carryouts are available. All proceeds will go to the church’s building fund. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Las Vegas night: 7 p.m. Feb. 2, St. Joseph School, 275 W. North St., Manhattan. Entertainment will include Vegas-style games including poker, blackjack, craps, and wheel games. The musical entertainment will be the band “Black Cadillac.” There will also be an extensive silent auction and raffles including a flat screen tv and iPad. Tickets are $12.50 in advance or $15 at the door and include a beef sandwich dinner. You can call the school at 815-478-3951 for more information or tickets.
