Wednesday

Trip to “Book of Mormon”: From 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6, the Lockport Township Park District offers a trip to “Book of Mormon” at the Bank of America Theater in Chicago for ages 21 and older. Transportation departs from Prairie Bluff Golf Course, 19433 Renwick Road, Crest Hill. The cost is $127 for residents or $137 for nonresidents. Spaghetti dinner: 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 9, hosted by the Joliet West High School Band Boosters in the Joliet West High School cafeteria, 401 N. Larkin Ave., Joliet. Tickets can be pre-purchased through a band student for $8 or they will be sold at the event for $10. Dine in or carryout. Live music will be performed by the Joliet West jazz bands. There will be a marketplace of local vendors to shop and a raffle table.

Sunday

Pancake breakfast: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 10, sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 5 of Joliet, Stone City Post 2199, 124 Stone City Drive, Joliet. Cost is $6 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.

Prom dress style show: 2 p.m. Feb. 10, hosted by the Morris Community High School FCCLA Club in the school’s auditorium. Students will present skits to help perfect the prom experience. Matt Feiden and Carrington Herman will sing. There will be a $2 donation. Proceeds go to the Grundy County Prom Aid program. The club will accept donations of gently used formal gowns and dresses, purses and blue jeans. Call 815-942-1294.

Mardi Gras dance: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 10, hosted by United Singles at Knights of Columbus Hall, 100 S. 129th Infantry Drive, Joliet. Age range from about 50 and older, but the club welcomes anyone older than 35. Snacks, cash bar, casual dress. Cost is $10 per guest or $15 for couples. Music furnished by DJ Mike Borgra.
